FUZZI - What?!?!
Think FUZZY + GIGGLES = FUZZIGGLES
That’s right, “They are fuzzy and they’ll make you giggle. They’re FUZZIGGLES!”
THE SHORT STORY
Hi, I’m Kellie, the Owner/Designer/Curator/Sewing Maven of all this fantastic fuzziness. What are Fuzziggles anyway? Simply, Fuzziggles are fun, funky, furry friends for the young and the young at heart. Basically, they are little bundles of snuggliness that I hope bring a bit of joy to the world. (Almost) all of our fuzzies feature long-pile furs that gives them their fluffiness and makes them a bit different than most other plushies.
The magic all happens in our studio workshop in Salem, Oregon, USA. That’s where we work every day to bring you the finest craftsmanship, and the most fun, you can find in a plush toy.

THE INSPIRATION
My love of stuffed animals started at an early age. As a child I was completely enamored with all sorts of creatures, big and small, real and imagined. So when I asked my parents for an elephant for the backyard, they got me a smaller, plush surrogate just right for my bedroom...and that’s when the affair began.
When I was seven I went nuts for Tribbles. Yeah, those Tribbles. From the epic Star Trek episode, “The Trouble With Tribbles.” They were so darn cute I just had to have a Tribble. My Mom took advantage of the situation and decided to teach me some sewing skills. We went a little crazy with the Tribbles experiment, making them by the boatload. I think everyone we knew got what came to be called “warm fuzzies” as gifts that year.
Fast forward 15 years...just out of college I started my own home decor company, Sofa Garden, making crazy shaped pillows...art for your couch. One day sorting through my fabrics, I came across a couple of sample yards of faux fur that had been tucked away. Out of nostalgia, thinking of my 7 year old self and using those “warm fuzzies” as inspiration, I mocked up a pattern for a guinea pig and a bunny and started sewing.
Kinda like in that Star Trek episode, I ended up with a small army of fur balls. My mother couldn’t help but laugh when I told her what I had done. Everyone wanted to know what I was going to do with all my new little friends. So I decided to put them up on Etsy. I felt it was the perfect place to adopt out the guinea pigs and bunnies. While Etsy continues to be a great way to find loving families for what have come to be known as Fuzziggles, they now also have their own website. It brings me overwhelming joy to know that these little cuties have wonderful homes the world over.
